  • Don’t use pre-cooked or par-boiled vegetables, as they may get mushy and lose their shape. Add raw vegetables to the pulao.

  • Give attention to the rice and water ratio. Generally, it should be 1:2, but if you are making pulao in a pressure cooker, you should pour some less water, as the steam will keep cooking the rice.
