Three main types of processes in textile manufacturing

Textile fibers form a crucial component of the modern society and the physical structure known for sustainability and human comfort. The desire to get better apparel and garment has led to the development of textile fiber production and manufacturing processes. The natural textile fibers tick both the boxes for aesthetics and comfort. Silk, wool, and cotton are the most important natural fibers for clothing needs, and now they are mixed with other types of synthetic fabrics. Keeping it all in mind, the processes in manufacturing textile are of three types, as outlined below.

1. Yarn manufacturing
Conventionally, yarn manufacturing encompasses a series of procedures involved in the conversion of the fiber into yarn. A textile company would remove the natural impurities from natural fibers to make those into yarns through the subsequent pretreatment process. Each processing stage in manufacturing yarn uses a special kind of machine and offers quality effects in yarn production.

2. Fabric manufacturing
Textile fabric is a two-dimensional structure made by the interlacing of fiber. This interlaced fibrous structure that is mainly utilized is knitted, nonwoven, and woven. The weaving tech was traditionally the main source for fabric production in case of textile manufacturing. The most popular types of woven fabric made are the basic weaves like tabby or plain and the fancy weaves like dobby and pile.

3. Garment manufacturing
Garment manufacturing and design is a combination of both technology and art. It has seen a number of advancements in computer-aided manufacturing, automation, and design development. However, the earlier version of garment manufacturing procedure in a textile company would continue to be the main theme today, i.e., cutting and joining a minimum of two pieces of fabric. The sewing machine helps to join cut-knitted or woven fabrics. Nowadays, computer-aided design and joining techniques are used.

Textile industry is undoubtedly one of the most important industries of the country in terms of the production value, yearly revenue, and employment generation. And today, you got to know about the three processes associated with it that gives shape to all those clothes that you love to wear.
